I’m Courtney (CT) — a brain surgery survivor, mom, blogger, web designer, gamer, and adventurer.

This is my corner of the internet where I share what life looks like after multiple brain surgeries and living with a chronic illness. I speak up for the hydrocephalus community and remind others navigating shunt life that sh!t happens but no matter what, keep pushing forward.

As I reach the final days of my college career (for now) - I am feeling all sorts of emotions.

Happy. Sad. Excited. Overwhelmed. Stressed.

My official last day on campus was this past Wednesday (April 27th) but I have two finals to take on May 2nd virtually. I decided to spend my last day with some of my classmates and friends that I met this semester.

Although this week is filled with presentations, essays, and finals - I can feel the weight slowly being lifted off my shoulders. Thankfully, I have a spa day coming up with my momma - a little graduation present thanks to my brother and stepdad! When I say I need some relaxation, I mean it!

This semester was probably the hardest out of my college career, but it was also the most memorable. I met new people, experienced new things, went to on-campus concerts and enjoyed the campus life for a few months.

I have been asked what I plan on doing with my degree and what my plans are after graduation....

I have some major plans later on in the year but for now, I want to focus on my family and relax a little. One thing is for certain, I plan to get back into my hobbies - hiking, geocaching, and traveling.

With that being said, it is very exciting to get my degree after this long journey, but I am bit sad that it is all coming to an end.

Next stop - walking across the stage to grab my degree!

I definitely cannot wait to get back out and continue my adventures with you all! Stay tuned!

"Godspeed and GO BUCS!"

With love,

CT
